"The Lord has filled me with tenderness," Sergio Palazón Square (13/07/2016)

Sergio, the seventh and last priest ordained this course, you will receive the Order on Saturday, at 19:00 pm in the parish of San Sebastian de Ricote.

"The Lord has been patient and merciful with me," says Sergio excited to start talking about how and when he felt the call to priesthood.

At 45 years, is the largest of all those who have ordered this year and smiles to make memory of the different signals that God has placed in your life, "are many years," he says.

Christian family, child, along with his four brothers, listened at home to the Gospel passages read their father.

Also, together, family, prayed the rosary and going to church on Sundays.

Ensures that always felt the call to priesthood but in the early years of youth began to move away gradually from the Church, "was a thin thread that allowed me to remain faithful to Sunday Mass".

Years passed and Sergio was already working as an official of the Administration of Justice, when at age 35 she felt God was calling him to be a priest of the Church.

"It was a late May 2005. After reading a book chronicling the alleged judgment to San Pedro through the Gospel of St. Mark, the Lord let me see his love for all men;

the evil of the world was not his thing, but a consequence of our freedom. "

Sergio, this event changed the course of his life, or as he says, "it back to where they should never have left."

At that time he returned to his mind the figure of the priest, although he thought that it would be impossible.

Thereafter, he began to get involved more and more in the Church, through the Eucharist and confession, and sought a spiritual director.

Mary has always guided his vocation, since those prayers of the Rosary family until his ordination, which will take place on the feast of the Virgen del Carmen "She was changing my heart without realizing it."

Account Sergio, who once came to work a Christmas card on which was a picture of the Virgin Mary with the Infant Jesus in her arms: "I stuck in the closet door where the work kept records, without giving more importance.

Silently this picture was unfolding on me all her tenderness, until I realized that his contemplation filled me with peace.

then I felt the need to be in my house (which until then had not put any religious sign).

The printed in larger framed it and placed it on the head of my bed.

Thus, without realizing it, after many years, I returned to open the doors of my heart to Mary. "

And it was in 2009, through Mary, in a vigil of the Immaculate in the parish of Ricote, when Sergio was "surrendered" to the will of God.

In 2010 he entered the Seminary of San Fulgencio, "have been a hard, difficult years ... and yet filled with joy.

It is as if the hand of Mary, the Lord had been leading me through the desert of my life.

There has been no pain, frustration or fear that is felt before the Lord has not done that again live in the seminary, to see it with fresh eyes and come out renewed, because it has made me see my poverty and that despite all I want so, you are always with me. "

The ministry in the seminary has made him grow in different places: next to the Missionaries of Charity;

in the Nazareth home of the Missionaries of the Holy Family;

in the parish of San Benito de Murcia;

in the parish of the Holy Spirit Espinardo;

with minor seminarians;

and finally, in the parish of Our Lady of Carmen de Murcia, where he has served as a deacon.

"This year has been of grace and blessings.

The Lord has filled me with tenderness.

I have been very happy being a deacon. "

"Come to me you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest".

With these words of the Gospel of Matthew, Sergio summarizes his own story of love and salvation and thus invites his ordination to take place next Saturday, at 19:00 pm in the parish of San Sebastian de Ricote.

"Everything rest of my life I want to be a continuous thanksgiving to God, waiting for power in the day without end, eternally singing his mercies".

With 39 years he entered the seminary and now, aware that God never tires of calling who chooses says that "it is never too late to tell God yes;

the most beautiful thing I have experienced is that whatever the situation, while we are alive, God is never late.

We are always time to start again, like the good thief.

In his arms everything has a solution. "
