The Councilor for Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Tomás, together with the president of the Commonwealth of Social Services of Valle de Ricote and Mayor of Ulea, Víctor Manuel López, the mayors of Villanueva del Río Segura, Jesús Viciana and Ricote, Celedonio Moreno, and the president of the Association of people with disabilities in Valle de Ricote (Adivar), José García, visited today the day center for people with intellectual disabilities in Villanueva del Río Segura.

The general budgets of the Community provide an endowment of 88,426 euros for these municipalities, which means an increase of more than 6,000 euros compared to 82,000 euros last year for this same concept.

Violante Tomás recalled that programs are being carried out to serve various groups, "such as Early Childhood Care, and services for older people, people with intellectual disabilities, people with mental illness, in addition to reconciliation of life Labor and family for women. "

The Ministry, through the Murcian Institute of Social Action IMAS, funds with more than 70,000 euros 15 places, agreed with the Commonwealth of Social Services, for people with intellectual disabilities.

And it allocates another 6,000 euros to the Center for Early Childhood Development and Early Care of Villanueva de Río Segura, which serves 22 minors and provides coverage to the municipalities of Villanueva del Río Segura, Ojós, Ricote and Ulea that make up the Commonwealth of Social Services del Valle Of Ricote.

Funding of 80 per cent of the European Social Fund

The holder of the Family also pledged to maintain the conciliation assistance of working life for families of the municipalities that make up the Commonwealth, amounting to more than 18,896 euros, which amount to 4,724 euros for each town hall.

The Regional Government, through the General Directorate for Women, has earmarked more than 400,000 euros this year to promote the reconciliation of work, personal and family life through direct aid granted to the 45 municipalities in the Region.

The offer of subsidized services is intended for the care of children whose parents work or participate in training actions for employment.

The actions planned to provide the reconciliation services for work, personal and family life are one of the lines of action of the Operational Program 2014-2020 of the European Social Fund, which co-finances 80% of its cost, thus contributing to the Compliance with the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination between women and men promoted by the European Union.
