The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, Ricote today attended the signing of a collaboration between the Golden Age of Peace Messengers and the city of Murcia Ricote, to carry out a program of counseling and home support for older people in the town with some degree of functional dependence and their families.
This program is designed to improve or maintain the level of functional and psychosocial care of their families, so that patients remain in familiar surroundings.
Messengers of Peace is committed to implementing occupational therapy services, physiotherapy, nursing and psychology, and hire all necessary staff, graduates and university graduates, to conduct this work.
For its part, the City of Ricote was responsible for supporting the Association through its volunteers and technicians to service, with capacity to serve between 12 and 15 users over 60 years, performing its work.
The agreement, whose validity is one year, was signed in the City, the mayor of Ricote, Miguel Angel Candel, and the representative of Messengers of Peace, Agustín García Belz.
At the signing ceremony was also attended by the managing director of IMAS, Isabel Sola, and the director of the Institute of Women of the Region, Teresa Moreno.
