The project 'Hidden thoughts', by the artist Belén Orta, can be seen in Ricote in the framework of the program that the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment is carrying out through the Plan of Exhibition Spaces.

This work is integrated in the network of exhibitions promoted by the regional government to give visibility in the different municipalities to the artistic creations that are generated in the Region.

The exhibition, which can be visited from 10 to 30 September at the Palacio de Llamas Cultural Center, is linked to a guided tour for all the participants by the palace, the church and the convent of Ricote, after the inauguration scheduled tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.

Belén Orta has created a series of works in which he alternates letters and characters that are mixed with signs and drawings, elements with which he develops a calligraphy between the word and the hieroglyph and result in a dialect to be deciphered.

The compositions, with lattices of letters, poems and signs are repeated in three dimensional supports, creating floating sculptures where every word seems to have taken life definitively.

The director general of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts (ICA), Marta López Briones, said that this work "is a reading that fuses different elements with which the artist manages to give his works an important visual force in a composition balanced and delicate. "

López-Briones recalled that "the Spaces Exhibition Plan is an initiative that is having very good results in the objective that we set out, which is to show the works of Murcia artists and generate a cultural offer very localized in different points of the Region for give greater visibility to the art that is being produced. "

Belén Orta (Cartagena, 1974) has a degree in Fine Arts in the specialty of sculpture and engraving.

He has participated in fifty individual and collective exhibitions and has been selected in numbers of plastic arts contests in which he has received different awards and recognitions.
