The initiative is aimed at young people between the ages of 14 and 25 and "more than a hundred are expected to participate," said the counselor.

Martínez-Cachá stressed that the main objective of this educational project is "to activate young people through creative activities related to their motivations".

In addition, he said, "the workshops will provide a space for coexistence in which to encourage participation and bring the music and contemporary culture of young people in this rural area."

Specifically, the program will be developed in Ulea on February 24, in Archena on March 3, in Villanueva del Río Segura on March 31, in Ricote and Ojós on April 28, in Abarán on May 26, in Blanca el June 23 and in Cieza on July 14.

The initiative will affect listening and acquiring tools to expand the musical skills of young people through experimentation.

An approach to the use of DJ techniques, software to mix live sound tracks, audio editing, use of eclecticism as a mix style, the introduction of landscape sound resources and the use of speech and digital voice from texts.

The counselor stressed that "young people are the future of the region and we want to provide creative tools and the same opportunities for those who live in cities and those who live in rural areas."

The Region of Murcia, said Martínez-Cachá, "is the community with the highest percentage of young population in Spain."

Over a population of one and a half million, almost 400,000 are young people between 15 and 36 years old, which is more than 25 percent of the total population.

The activities are jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the platform Arquitectura Actual de la Cultura (AADK) Spain, an international platform for curating projects of member and guest artists who created in 2006 a group of artists living in Berlin and that they conceive several projects of different artistic disciplines.
